I lived in Colorado - bought Charles' books. I moved to Reno - bought Charles' Nor Cal book - first thing I did. I just recently moved to San Diego - bought Charles' SoCal book - again, first thing I did.

 

The man knows how to write guide books and the NoCal one is NO EXCEPTION! Beyond the trails, waypoints, etc., it is the small things I absolutely love. I.e. camp spots, lakes around the bend to fish, altitude data, history...you name it - it is all in this book and BEYOND accurate.

I am a huge fan of this and the other three books I own of Charles' (also have AZ's book) - can't wait to explore SoCal with Charles sitting in my saddle bag!
