Pritchett Canyon, Moab, UT

Although the canyon is scenic, a driver barely has time to notice. Most of his attention is spent trying to survive the obstacles. Left side of canyon is Wilderness Study Area (WSA). Always stay to right side of canyon following route markers. After completing main canyon, consider adding side trip to impressive Pritchett Arch.

Difficult TrailRating
Extremely difficult. Many well-equipped hardcore rigs won't get through without winching or being strapped. Rollovers and broken axles are a common occurrence, especially for overly aggressive drivers. The two most challenging obstacles are Rocker Knocker and Axle Hill. The Rock Pile, once the toughest obstacle, is no longer used. Everyone goes right up a not-so-easy bypass. Take full advantage of winch points at Chewy Hill, Rocker Knocker, Axle Hill and Yellow Hill. Minimum tire size 33 inches. Recommend lockers front and rear with very low gearing.
