Overview

Popular hard-core trail gets you to Golden Spike.

Fun-filled combination of challenging obstacles and incredible scenery. Most people drive the first half of the route on their way to Golden Spike, trail #33. But don’t miss the loop. It’s an entirely different experience featuring a sandy play hill, amazing slickrock climbs, a stunning overlook, and a very unique arch. UTVs will also enjoy this route because it is a loop. Stay toward center of the designated route to prevent trail widening. This is a popular mountain bike trail; drive with caution.

Large awkward ledges with tippy spots. Many (not all) have bypasses. Modified vehicles with bigger tires, lockers, and high ground clearance are best suited. Although we don’t recommend it, some drivers of newer aggressive stock SUVs are getting through with careful tire placement and the help of a good spotter.

7/9/19 Right from the beginning this trail lets you know it's not going to be a cake walk. The trail is in good shape and the challenges have bypasses EXCEPT for the waterfall. There is no way around it. Ironically there are two spots on the way to the waterfall that have anchor points you can winch off of to get up them however the main waterfall has none. The most challenging part of the trail is the top of that waterfall, with no lockers and only a 2" lift we did some undercarriage scraping and I left some rubber on the trail for it to remember us by. The trail isn't as well marked as Hell's and Fins but you can figure it out easy enough. It does get tippy in a few spots and can be intimidating in others but keep a level head, good lines and a good spotter and you will be fine. We ran a 2" lift, 33s aired down, discos, frame mounted rock rails and open diffs in a 2018 Sahara JL and had no problems with picking the right lines and making it through.
